Precision variometer with altitude and variation measurement via two autonomous pressure sensors.
With its compact size and low weight of 5.5 g, the robbe TEK altitude and vario sensor is probably the smallest, lightest and most accurate sensor (with dual TEK sensor) in the world. The sequence and display unit are automatically configured with the robbe sensor's individual identification (ID)Futaba when the sensor is registered (on the transmitter or telemetry box).
Features of the vario-altimeter unit:
- A high sensitivity of 2cm/s enables even the weakest thermals to be used.
- The model's smallest altitude variation is signalled.
- The TEK connection compensates for "stick thermals", so that changes in speed have virtually no effect on vario output, sound and language.
- The second additional pressure sensor gives very precise altitude characteristics despite the variometer's TEK compensation, which also increases sensitivity.
- This variometer is naturally altitude-compensated (a pressure change of 1mbar at sea level naturally corresponds to a different ascent value at 3000 m altitude)
- Conversion of pressure to altitude according to the ICAO atmospheric standard, with accuracy to the nearest metre.
- The vario TEK altimeter is particularly insensitive to radiation from 2.4 GHz telemetry transmitters.
- The software can be updated via a USB connector, i.e. updates and developments can be carried out by the user himself.
